Chicken & Waffles with Honey Mustard Yogurt Sauce

Whole grain waffles and lean, breaded chicken tenders are served with a tangy honey mustard yogurt sauce in this heat-and-serve breakfast. Each portion provides 13 g protein, 1.5 oz eq of whole grains, and calcium. Easy-to-serve and full of flavor, kids will love this comfort food breakfast.

Instructions

  1. Prepare waffles according to manufacturer’s directions.
  2. Serve one waffle, one chicken tender, and a #24 disher of honey (or hot honey) mustard yogurt sauce. For grab n’ go, chicken tender can be placed in waffle and folded like a taco. Hold and serve at 135°F or higher (chicken).
