Fruit & Quaker©​ Oatmeal Smoothie

Not your typical fruit smoothie! The combination of fresh or frozen fruit, kefir, and whole grain Quaker©​ oats makes this smoothie a well-rounded breakfast.

Instructions

For oatmeal:

  1. Combine rolled oats and milk in saucepan; simmer for 5 minutes or until oats have absorbed a majority of the milk. Oatmeal will yield 1 cup.
  2. Let cool.

For smoothie:

  1. In blender, combine 1 cup cooked oatmeal, half of a ripe banana, 1/4 cup frozen (or fresh) strawberries, 3/4 cup Kefir, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately with fresh strawberry garnish (optional).
