Kathy Leslie teaches wellness education at Martin Kellogg Middle School in Newington, CT and has actively engaged her students with Fuel Up to Play 60 since 2010. She has worked collaboratively with the Newington School Nutrition Program to promote school breakfast, bring new menu items to the cafeteria, promote healthy snacks, run a smoothie blend-off, and has added hosting a pizza cook-off challenge to the list. She also works with school officials and staff to increase opportunities for physical activity and introduced many fun and exciting activity days, including the all-time favorite Zombie Run.
