Nate Ebner is joining the New York Giants for the 2020-21 season after playing with the New England Patriots since 2012. Nate became our Fuel Up to Play 60 player ambassador in 2018 and joined us for many fun and memorable events.
Having majored in exercise science at Ohio State, Nate was able to speak about nutrition as a necessity to reaching fitness goals. He connected with students through physical activity and enjoyed getting hands on during Fuel Up to Play 60 events, whether it was playing two hand touch or taste-testing recipes.
Nate chose Fuel Up to Play 60 as his cause for My Cause My Cleats in both 2018 and 2019 because he believes in empowering kids to eat healthier and become more physically active. Nate credits his success to the great influences he had growing up and wanted to be that same influence for kids through his own passions of health and athletics.
One of our favorite facts about Nate is that he is one of seven men in the entire history of professional football to compete in the Olympics and win an NFL championship. In fact, he is the only person on that list to win a Superbowl the same year he went to the Olympics, having played on the USA Rugby team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
Working with Nate has been an honor for everyone at our organization. We will miss him in New England but cannot wait to see the amazing things he accomplishes in his career. Below are some of our favorite memories with Nate.
