New England Dairy Innovation Kit

Dairy: Good for your body, good for the planet

We know students are interested in where their food comes from and how food choices affect the health of their bodies, communities, and the planet.

We have developed this kit to help teachers educate students and bring these concepts “home” and open the conversation about how dairy fits in a sustainable food system. This kit is a digital resource designed to use in both virtual and in-person settings and is appropriate for all secondary level students. We’ve also included instruction suggestions if you have some students in the classroom and others working remotely.

Dairy: Good for Your Body

Nutritionists and doctors know from scientific research that dairy foods like milk, cheese, and yogurt supply quality nutrition in each serving, which can be a challenge to easily make up for from other foods. This video takes a closer look at some of the nutrients dairy foods provide that are needed for healthy brains and bodies.
