New England Dairy Innovation Kit

Dairy: Good for your body, good for the planet

We know students are interested in where their food comes from and how food choices affect the health of their bodies, communities, and the planet.

We have developed this kit to help teachers educate students and bring these concepts “home” and open the conversation about how dairy fits in a sustainable food system. This kit is a digital resource designed to use in both virtual and in-person settings and is appropriate for all secondary level students. We’ve also included instruction suggestions if you have some students in the classroom and others working remotely.

Get access to the kit via the link below, in addition to other resources to support you and your students.

“The kit helped me learn more about dairy and dairy farmers through enjoyable lessons. It provided information on what is healthy for you/ your body. Your new knowledge on dairy products will surprise you! – New England Student, Pilot Program Participant”

Send the ideas your students developed while working through the New England Dairy Innovation Kit to and we’ll send you a link to our special Prize Vault to choose items for your class.

Please note that only educators located within one of the five (5) New England states in which we work (MA, CT, NH, RI or VT) are eligible to receive access to our prize vault.

Dairy: Good for Your Body

Nutritionists and doctors know from scientific research that dairy foods like milk, cheese, and yogurt supply quality nutrition in each serving, which can be a challenge to easily make up for from other foods. This video takes a closer look at some of the nutrients dairy foods provide that are needed for healthy brains and bodies.
