A vision we had for 2020 was to build an innovative dairy truck that served up milk in a fun and unique way while honoring New England Dairy’s CentennialWith a few COVID-19 hiccups, our timeline was slightly altered, but we are thrilled to introduce the first of its kind: The Mobile Dairy Bar.

This unique and innovative approach with the refrigerated truck will allow New Englanders to taste what they’ve always loved, learn about dairy nutrition and sustainability while meeting a farmer or dietitian, all while having an unforgettable experience.

Thanks to the creativity of Chillrite32 they created a tap system that turned beer taps into milk taps. Three milk taps have been retrofitted into the truck.

As we travel throughout the region, New Englanders will have the opportunity to taste local milk sustainably produced by local, hard-working dairy farmers. The high definition monitor provides an additional resource to help tell our dairy farmers story, show partner support and of course provide nutrition education.

We may not be pouring pints of milk quite yet, but we have found alternative uses to connect with consumers in a COVID-friendly way.

This October, the Mobile Dairy Bar made a spooktacular debut at a few drive-in movies.  New England Dairy teamed up with with iHeartMedia’s 101.7 The Bull, we were able to promote Chocolate Milk, the Official Beverage of Halloween.  In addition to on-air promotion, the mobile dairy bar event team set up a fun and socially distanced educational booth at three locations in Massachusetts (Mendon, Marshfield and Topsfield).

Chocolate milk made it simple and delicious to scare up some Halloween treats for the kids and get creative with spooky DIY Halloween crafts. Thanks to our friends at HP Hood, we were able to hand out single-serve chocolate milks and engage with consumers in a COVID-friendly manner.

We all need to laugh and have fun–our new selfie station allowed just that!  Fun pictures were taken and shared on social media.  The drive-in was a great place to be as more people are heading to these outdoor theaters and looking for alternative ways to get festive with their family.

We hope to see all of you in the near future visiting the mobile dairy bar and enjoying a glass of delicious milk. Cheers to 100 Years of New England Dairy!
