New England Dairy 100th Anniversary Grant Opportunity

Deadline 8/7/2020

For 100 years, dairy farmers have supported New England Dairy and built a legacy of supporting healthy kids and their academic success.  Our organization and the local dairy farmers we represent understand the important role that school meals play in nourishing students across New England—now more than ever. We are committed to continue supporting schools to ensure students have access to nutrient rich foods including dairy throughout their school day.

In recognition of our 100th Anniversary, New England Dairy is excited to announce a funding opportunity from New England Dairy Farmers to eligible schools in CT, MA, NH, RI & VT to support food service needs related to serving meals in alternative ways related to COVID-19 social distancing measures during the 2020-21 school year. More info and how to apply below.

We understand feeding students during this time will require drastic changes in some schools and we want to support the outstanding efforts of school nutrition professionals to make sure our students are nourished and ready to learn.

Due to limited funding, allowable costs associated with this grant funding should be used for the purpose of promoting dairy sales with school meals. Non-allowable costs associated with this funding include but are not limited to sanitation equipment and supplies, disposable items, and stipends. Funding is limited and will be awarded based on strength of plan and potential impact.

In order to be considered for this grant school districts must be up to date on all data collection for any previous grants by August 7, 2020.

Submit your application to dairygrants@newenglanddairy.com by midnight on August 7, 2020. If you need an application for more than four schools, please email a request to dairygrants@newenglanddairy.com
