Evelyn Hart, RD, LD has been a Nutrition Specialist at New England Dairy & Food Council (NEDFC) in New Hampshire for the past five years. She is a local media spokesperson and has been a guest on several local radio and television stations including WNDS, MCTV, WZID, and WHOM. Evelyn has been quoted in The Portsmouth Herald, Valley News and Salem Observer.

Evelyn is responsible for implementing nutrition education programs in area schools and local health education organizations, providing nutrition resources for health professionals, and executing local campaigns to increase the visibility of New England Dairy foods. In this role she also acts at the New Hampshire Action for Healthy Kids State Team Liaison and chairs their nutrition subcommittee.

Most recently, Evelyn held the position of Executive Director of the Maine Dairy Promotion Board and Dairy Council. She also has fifteen years of experience in university food service and ten years in hospital nutrition services, including patient care and food service administration.

She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Dietetic Association.

As a registered dietitian, Evelyn is dedicated to helping schools address the current crisis of childhood obesity. She has extensive experience working with schools to develop school wellness policies in the areas of nutrition and physical activity.

Evelyn is a graduate of the University of Maine and she completed her dietetic internship at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston, TX.
