Heidi Harkopf MS, RD has been a Nutrition Specialist at New England Dairy & Food Council (NEDFC) for fifteen years, where she is a local media spokesperson in New Haven. She has appeared several times on the Connecticut NBC and ABC affiliates, WVIT-TV and WTNH-TV. She has been a guest on numerous Connecticut radio stations and has served as a contributing nutritionist for The News Times.

Heidi is responsible for implementing nutrition education programs in Connecticut schools and local health education organizations, providing nutrition resources for health professionals, and executing local campaigns to increase the visibility of New England dairy foods. Prior to this position, Heidi was a Nutrition Specialist at the University of Vermont Extension System.

Heidi is a member of the American Dietetic Association and is a past Chair for the Council of Practice for the Connecticut Dietetic Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Muhlenberg College and received her Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Vermont.

As a registered dietitian and mother of two young girls, Heidi gives the public practical nutrition information they can use to make healthful food choices every day.
