As Nutrition Specialist, Jill is responsible for creating and implementing nutrition programs that will improve the school nutrition environment while activating kids to make healthy choices. She also directs local dairy campaigns and provides nutrition resources to area health professional organizations.
Previously, Jill was employed by the Vermont Department of Health as a public health nutritionist where she provided individualized nutrition counseling and tailored interventions to address issues such as childhood obesity and heart disease. Additionally, she was also the Nutrition Coordinator for Hannaford Food and Drug Store in South Burlington , VT.
Jill is a member of the Vermont Dietetic Association and has served on the Board in numerous positions including Bulletin Editor, Public Relations Chair/Media Representative, CPI-Chair-Elect and will be taking the position of President-Elect in June, 2010. Furthermore, she is actively involved in Vermont Action for Health Kids (AFHK), serving as the State Team Liaison.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics/Nutrition and Food Sciences from University of Vermont.
